The programme lets you add vocabulary and customise the dictionaries. The kanji dictionary gives all the informations about the characters, in Roman characters or hiragana at the user's request, and their numbers in the big standard dictionaries (Nelson, Spahn-Hadamitsky, Halpern, O'Neill...).

Several methods for translating kanji are proposed:

In the automatic mode, with a simple click, you will get a word to word translation from a text in a word processor file.
Use NippoFile and you will learn to associate the written form of kanji with their pronunciations and English meanings. You will learn an increasingly greater number of characters and terms.
